Making their Ohio debut, YY Dance Company will bring an evening of four incredible contemporary dance works that showcase the beauty, power, and emotionally charged movement for which choreographer Yue Yin has gained recognition. Now based in NYC, Yue began her training in Chinese classical dance in China and created her own trademark choreographic style, FoCo Technique, fusing elements of Chinese classical dance, ballet, folk dance, and cutting-edge contemporary movement. Yue Yin has been commissioned by a wide range of world-renowned companies and schools including Martha Graham Dance Company, Gibney Company, Boston Ballet, Limon Dance Company, Juilliard and more! Get ready to enjoy a beautiful duet titled, A Measurable Existence, alongside a rare opportunity to witness a solo from Yin Yue herself as she dances in "Echo". The performance also includes the full group work, Sigra Sigra, bringing energy and excitement to the stage alongside another amazing piece, Through the fracture of Light, which will conclude the program.
