Stephen Petronio Company Makes Ohio Debut March 14 at Playhouse Square

CLEVELAND — Stephen Petronio Company makes its Ohio debut and concludes the 2019-2020 DANCECleveland season with a performance featuring four works that exemplify true modern dance at its finest.
The New York-based dance troupe takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14 in the Mimi Ohio Theatre at Playhouse Square with their mixed repertoire program.
Acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, Stephen Petronio is widely regarded as one of the leading dance-makers of his generation. New music, visual art, and fashion collide in his dances, producing powerfully modern landscapes for the senses.
He has built a body of work with some of the most talented and provocative artists in the world. Founded in 1984, Stephen Petronio Company has performed in 40 countries throughout the world, including numerous New York City engagements and 24 seasons at The Joyce Theater. The Cleveland performance will feature an evening of mixed repertoire including Hardness10, Bud, American Landscapes and a solo by Stephen Petronio himself, titled #3.
Tickets range from $25 to $65 and can be purchased at www.dancecleveland.org or by calling 216-241-6000. The show includes a moderated pre-show chat at 6:45 pm in the theatre and a post-show Q&A with performers and producers immediately after the show.
There is a free advanced level master class for dancers ages 16 and up on Friday March 13 at 5 pm. Registration is required at DANCECleveland.org.
