Idea Center
Drawing from a blend of somatic practices and modern dance techniques, this class begins with a grounded warm-up and progressions through space to prepare the body and mind for contemporary dance concepts including momentum, weight shift, and moving in and out of the floor. Each exercise leads into a dynamic choreographed phrase during which participants may utilize these concepts as tools to explore personal expression, performance quality, and improvisation. Movers of all experience levels are welcome.
