This class concentrates on Kuchipudi a South Indian classical Dance form. This dance form is predominantly a Dance drama tradition. This will be an all ages and all abilities community level class.

Participants will learn:
1. 3 basic stance used in the form
2. 3 to 4 most commonly used hand gestures in this art form
3. 5 basic foot works used in the form
4. How we combine hand gestures with foot work and derive to a beautiful composition
5. Little bit of history of the dance form.

About The Instructor:

Smt. Sudha Kiranmayi Totapally, is a classical dancer, teacher, Choreographer of Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam, two Indian classical dance forms. She started learning these dance forms at a very tender age of 4 and since then constantly looks for an opportunity to improve her skills and work on creative choreography at every given chance. She earned her Masters degree from world renowned, Central University, Hyderabad, South India, in Performing Arts and communication with Kuchipudi dance form as major. Later trained under many renowned prestigious legendary Gurus. She has been recognized by many associations for her dedication towards these art forms like Annamayya Aradhana festival committee, Vindhya Cultural Association, Cleveland Asia Festival organization, etc... Her primary goal has always been promoting and propagating Indian classical dance forms by teaching to younger generations.
