Join Amy Gunter from Salt Contemporary Dance in the exploration of contemporary movement. This class will encourage heightened awareness from mind to body in order to produce new movements and shapes. You will learn about initiation points, imagery, use of negative space and improvisational techniques to further your study in contemporary dance.

About The Instructor:

Amy Gunter received her BFA in Dance from Brigham Young University where she was awarded many outstanding performance and choreographic recognitions. She currently dances with SALT Contemporary Dance and directs their sister company SALT2. Amy is a choreographic fellow with SALT where she helps develop shows and regularly sets work on SALT2. She has performed works by renowned artists like Gustavo Ramirez, Ihsan Rustem, Banning Bouldin, Peter Chu and more. Amy also dances for and assists Ching Ching Wong of Carrots Carrying Water. She teaches, choreographs, and performs around the state of Utah. Amy is passionate about researching movement and how we use dance to learn about humanity.
